Palace of Culture and Science (Poland)

Palace of Culture and Science is the highest and the most recognizable building of Warsaw. It is 237 metres high. The Palace, due to its history and style, arouses lots of mixed feelings among the citizens of Warsaw. It was built in 1955 in the city centre on the Parade Square. Many institutions and companies have got their seat there. We may find there, among others: theatres, cinemas, bookshops, scientific institutions, conference and entertainment rooms. There are numerous exhibitions and fairs organized there. The possibility of admiring the panorama of the city from the viewing terrace of the Palace is one of many tourist attractions of the capital of Poland.
