Mountain pasture in Alps

Meadows located on the Alps slopes have been used as pastures since the oldest times. Pasturage of various animals – cows, sheep and goats – was in the past extremely significant for the inhabitants of the Alpine villages, today it is an element of a local tradition, maintained to a large extent due to the financial support of the European Union.
