Melbourne is a large Australian city located on the Yarra River. Pedestrian footbridge with a characteristic white arch that connects the Southbank district with Melbourne's main railway station at Flinders Street. The Southgate Footbridge was opened to public in 1989. There is Ponyfish Island bar and restaurant by one of the pylons of the bridge, it is situated directly under the footbridge allowing access to the other side of the river. This bridge is decorated with padlocks placed there by lovers, which – for safety reasons – are removed from time to time.
