Budapest is a big city located on the Danube river and the capital of Hungary. It was established from the merger of three smaller cities - Buda, Pest and Óbuda in the 1870s. Pest is located on the left bank of the Danube river and is the largest part of Budapest. Three metro lines are situated there, as well as the Hungarian Parliament, the opera house and presentable Heroes Square. The largest church in the capital, St. Stephen’s Basilica, is also situated on the Pest side. The temple is situated near the 19th-century Széchenyi Chain Bridge.
