Pizza is a world-famous dish of Italian cuisine, the base of which is a round yeast dough with various toppings. The basic ingredients served on a flat, baked cake include tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and herbs. Among the most popular kinds of pizza there are Capricciosa, i.e. pizza with ham and mushrooms, is sometimes served with black olives, Hawaiian with pineapple, as well as frutti di mare pizza – with seafood. Despite the existence of many regional varieties of dough and combinations of ingredients, pizza toppings depend only on our culinary preferences.
