Quebec is a picturesque city situated at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River to the ocean in the east of Canada, in the French-speaking part of the country. The city and the whole province, of which the city of Quebec is the capital, is considered to be the most European part of North America. While strolling through the streets of the old town, one can get the impression that he/she explores one of the old French, Belgian or English towns, despite the fact that Quebec was founded only in the 17th century. Stone houses with large rectangular windows decorated with pots of flowers, narrow cobbled streets, old-fashioned signs and the overall atmosphere of the city make you forget that you are outside of Europe.
