Coral reefs are created in result of occurrence of large numbers of skeletons of such organisms as mollusks, Foraminifera or corals at a limited area. The coral reef owes its name to the latter of the mentioned organisms. The origin of the coral reef is possible only in warm seas at the maximum depth of 50m. At the periphery of the coral reef there are various forms of life thriving – among the reef-building creatures there are countless species of fish, among others the Sergeant Major, which is easy to recognize.
