View of Reykjavik from Hallgrímskirkja church (Iceland)
Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland, picturesquely situated on the Faxa Bay. There are many 18th and 19th-century historic monuments in the city, however, visitors pay most attention to the Hallgrimskyrkja, a Lutheran church, the construction of which was completed in 1986. It was named after the famous Icelandic priest and poet Hallgrímur Pétursson. The temple is 73 meters high and is visible from almost every part of Reykjavik. The tower of church is equipped with a vantage point from which there is a breathtaking view over the entire city and the coast.
