Saloon style bar from the Wild West
Saloon was a place where alcohol and appetizers were sold, sometimes accommodation and prostitutes were also offered. The first bar of this type was opened in 1822 in Wyoming. A traditional American saloon with a characteristic swinging door appeared – as one of the settings – in the popular TV series titled Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, in the comics from the Lucky Luke series, and above all in countless Western films. Currently, even in Poland, whole towns are created that are based on the settlements from the Wild West, they are local tourist attractions for families with children. The replica of the Western saloon can be visited, among others, in the Polish towns of Grudziądz, Żory, Mrągowo and Kołobrzeg.
