Scarborough is a town located in the north-east of England in the county of North Yorkshire, on the coast of the North Sea. It is primarily known as the most popular seaside resort in Great Britain. There are two sandy beaches - northern and southern, the latter of which is much larger and more likely to be chosen by the enthusiasts of relaxing on golden sand. Nevertheless, Scarborough offers not only well-maintained beaches with a perfect tourist infrastructure. People who are bored with sunbathing can admire the medieval monuments of the town, with the ruins of a Gothic castle, or take a trip to the North York Moors National Park.
