Sheffield is one of England's largest cities, it is located in the central part of the country in South Yorkshire. Its history dates back to the times of Celts, but the city's importance increased only during the industrial revolution. Then the number of population increased repeatedly, since residents of neighboring villages came to Sheffield to take up jobs in the metallurgical industry, for which the city is famous until today. Nevertheless, education has become increasingly important and the University of Sheffield boasts as many as 5 Noble prizewinners who were educated within its walls.
