Skyscrapers in the city of Pittsburgh (USA)
Pittsburgh is a city located in the US state of Pennsylvania. It was founded by the French in 1754 and named Fort Duquesne. In honor of the British Prime Minister, William Pitt, the British renamed the village in 1758 giving it the name “Pittsborough”. Currently, many banks and research centers are based in the city. One of the most emblematic buildings in Pittsburgh is the 188-meter Highmark Place with a pyramid-shaped roof. The skyscraper is located near the yellow Roberto Clemente Bridge on the Allegheny River. The bridge was named after a baseball player of Pittsburgh Pirates.
