City hall in Stockholm (Sweden)

The city hall in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm (in Sweden it is called Stadshuset), was built in 1923 in accordance to the design of the architect Ragnar Östberg. It was inspired by the Doge's Palace in Venice. Inside of the city hall, considered to be one of Stockholm's symbols, there are decorations executed by the best Swedish artists, e.g. Carl Malstem and Maja Sjöström. Since 1930's in the Blue Hall of Stadhuset the Swedish Royal Family have thrown ceremonial receptions for the Nobel Prize winners.
