Stairs leading to the top of Mount Bromo (Indonesia)
Mount Bromo is an active stratovolcano that is located in the eastern part of the island of Java, it is also a part of the Tengger massif. Its height reaches 2329 meters above the sea level. Numerous tourists visiting the volcano may use the 253-step stairs leading to its top, from which they can look inside the smoking crater. Tourists may admire the crater from the viewing point that was built at the top of the volcano. Nevertheless, visitors must be careful not to come off the narrow ridge. Apart from that Mount Bromo remains active – it erupts approximately every few years.
