Stilton cheese with cranberry
Stilton is an English blue cheese that is produced in two basic varieties: white and blue. Its origins date back to the 1730s, whereas the name of the cheese refers to the village located in Cambridgeshire. It is made from pasteurized cow's milk that comes from six carefully selected dairies. Stilton is distinguished by a sharp, salty taste, which is why its white variety is often stuffed with sour-sweet fruit, e.g. apricots, blueberries or cranberries. The cheese can be used as an addition to salads and bread or a snack itself.
