Hydra is a Greek island, located in the Aegean Sea, in the archipelago of the Saronic Islands. There are no large hotels, which are typical for coastal Mediterranean towns, but only small quiet guesthouses. The island is famous for perfectly-preserved 19th-century architecture and dense housing that is typical for the region. What is more, it is strictly forbidden to use motor vehicles, including bicycles, on the whole island! It all creates the unique atmosphere of the island and it is a real oasis of peace and privacy. It is willingly visited by tourists and people who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
