Suburban train in Moscow (Russia)
Moscow is a huge metropolis, where more than 12 million people live. The city boasts one of the oldest metro systems. The Moscow metro is mainly associated with the stations that are decorated in the style of socialist realism. The stations much more resemble palace rooms than underground stations. However, suburban areas of Moscow are operated by the so-called light rail, i.e. elevated railways. They are as fast and punctual as the underground lines, transporting employees from the huge Moscow suburbs every day.
