Los Angeles is located in the southern part of the US state of California. The city was founded in 1781, formerly inhabited by the Tongva and Chumash tribes. Currently, Los Angeles is a huge metropolis, one of the most important financial, scientific and technological centers in the world and the leading center of the American film industry. The city has many tourist attractions, including, among others, the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame or Griffith Observatory. Subtropical climate also invites tourists to spend time on the beach, for example at Venice Beach.
