Buddhist temple in the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park (Thailand)
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is a protected area located on the northern coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It covers the area of almost 100 km2 and 20% of its area is covered by the gulf waters. The park was established in 1966 as the first coastal national park in Thailand. The name of the park means “Mountains with 300 peaks” and it perfectly refers to the landscape dominated by numerous lime stones towering over the forest line. Among the main attractions of the park there are caves and unusual rock formations, two sandy beaches and monuments of local religious architecture.
