The Avenue des Champs-Élysées is one of the icons of the capital of France. The Arc de Triomphe is the most famous structure crowning the western part of the representative Parisian Avenue. The monument is located at the Charles de Gaulle square, commemorating the fallen during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars, it was designed by Jean François Chalgrin. The construction of the Arc de Triomphe was completed in 1836. It has an observation platform from which you can admire the beautifully illuminated Avenue of Champs-Élysées. The building itself is decorated with beautiful reliefs.
