The cemetery in the village of Eibenthal (Romania)
Eibenthal is a village located in the valley of the river Tisovice in Romania, in the historical region of Banat. It was founded in 1827 by the Czechs, who worked as miners in the surrounding mines. In the village there is the church of St. John of Nepomuk and the old historic cemetery surrounded by vast greenery. Villagers, the descendants of Czech colonists are very calm, honest and hardworking. However, for the last several decades Eibenthal has been depopulating, because the representatives of the younger generation have traveled to cities in search of work.
