Umeda District in Osaka (Japan)
Umeda is the commercial and business center in Osaka. There is the main northern railway station of the city with two stations Osaka and Umeda. The name Umeda means “a field of plums”, which relates to the former farming use of these areas. Today visitors may admire the newest achievements of modern architecture – gigantic skyscrapers of non-standard forms, stadiums and public transport at the highest technological level.
