The Valley of the Five Polish Lakes is located in the Polish part of the High Tatra Mountains. It consists of six lakes, however, the name includes only five, as one of them is temporary. One of the most popular touristic trails in the Polish Tatra Mountains runs along the valley. The place owes its popularity to amazing landscapes consisting of rocky peaks dominating over the blue lakes that reflect sunshine. There is also a mountain shelter in the valley, it was built at the turn of 1940’s and 1950’s and is the Poland’s highest-situated building of that type.
