Vienna (Austria)
The bird’s eye view on the capital and the biggest city of Austria. Vienna is located on the Danube river, in the south-eastern part of the country. Its history dates back to 500 B.C., when it was founded as a Celtic settlement. Vienna was granted town privileges at the beginning of the 13th century, and 18th and 19th centuries are considered to be the golden age in the history of Vienna. The rapid trade, industrial and cultural growth occurred then. The city is famous for numerous monuments located in the city centre. Visitors in Vienna may encounter buildings representing all the most important architectonic styles.
