The 1,600-meter Vintgar Gorge is located in Slovenia, in the Triglav National Park. The site was discovered by Jakob Žumer, the mayor of the village of Gorje in 1891. An unusual walking route along a tangle of wooden walkways, bridges and scenic decks is a great tourist attraction. The walkway goes just above the surface of the rapid waters of the river Radovna. From the walkway tourist may admire rocks covered with dense vegetation, picturesque waterfalls and foaming cascades. The Vintgar Gorge is one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia.
