The three-color variation of the popular terrier comes from Germany, where in 1984 in the dogs’ breeding kennel belonging to the Biewer couple, a bitch with a white-red-gray coat was born. The unusual color of the animal was caused by a mutation of pigment cells called piebaldism. Thanks to appropriate gene fixation, a new variation of Yorkshire terrier dogs, characterized by a white coat with dark patches, was identified. Yorkshire Terrier Biewer has become popular among other breeders and are still popular among lovers of small companion dogs.
