Yosemite National Park is located in the central part of the state of California, on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It covers the area of more than three thousand square kilometers and is visited every year by nearly four million visitors. Most of them visit Yosemite Valley, once inhabited by the Native American tribe of Ahwahneechee. There are unusual sequoias growing in the area of the Yosemite, including a 2,700-year-old Grizzly Giant tree, as well as pines representing as many as eight species. The park offers stunning rock formations and waterfalls, such as the Yosemite - the highest cascade in North America.
