Zumbahua is a town in the Ecuadorian province of Cotopaxi, located at the foot of the Andes. It is famous for its weekend market where you can buy local food products. Apart from days when there is a fair, Zumbahua is a sleepy little town, not frequented by tourists. Its landscape is dominated by squares of farmland and the peaks of the Ecuadorian Andes looming in the distance. 12 kilometers from the village there is Quilotoa lake that is located in the crater of the volcano.
