Colmar is located by the eastern border of France, in the region of Alsace. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. It owes the name "Little Venice" to numerous canals, which cross the picturesque old town. Historic houses with timber framing are particularly impressive – some of them were built as early as in 15th century.
