Almost 50% of the world’s population live in cities. This indicator is overrated by the countries in which the urbanization processes began at the earliest. Among these countries it is a must to mention Belgium or Great Britain, where over 90% of people live in cities, whereas New York is one of the largest agglomerations on the planet – Manhattan itself is inhabited by over 1,5 million people.
