Traditional fishing house on the ocean coast are characteristic for the village of Reine inhabited by 500 people. This fishing village is located 300 kilometers south-west of the city of Tromsø on the island of Moskenesøya, which belongs to the Lofoten archipelago. The archipelago is lying within the Arctic Circle. In the 1970’s the Allers magazine awarded Reine with the title of the most beautiful Norwegian village. It is not a surprise that the picture depicting the village is a frequent motif of the covers of the tourist guidebooks from the region.
