Verona is an Italian city on the river Adige, located in the north-eastern part of the country. There are many historic monuments in Verona, the city’s oldest preserved edifices date from the Roman times. One of the most recognizable structures is the 12th-century Romanesque cathedral (Italian - Duomo di Verona) with a high white bell tower. The panorama of can be admired from the stone bridge called Ponte Pietra. This ancient bridge was carefully reconstructed after World War II.
