Shanghai is the largest and fastest growing city in China. This seaport is located in the east of the country and can boast the largest skyscrapers, the world's largest underground network and a huge increase in the number of inhabitants. New residents are constantly coming to live in Shanghai and experts estimate that the population of the city grows every year by approximately 6 million people. With such a dynamic growth Shanghai is a big construction site, where new buildings are still constructed. It is said half-jokingly that a half of all the world’s cranes are placed here. Unfortunately, it is done at the expense of traditional architecture, which practically ceased to exist here.
