The town of Menton is located in the French department of Alpes-Maritimes. The town is dominated by the baroque bell tower of the church of St. Archangel Michael, built in the 17th century by Honorius II, Prince of Monaco. The Orthodox Church of the Icon of Our Lady with a distinctive blue dome is another famous building. The panorama of the old town of Menton composes itself magnificently against the background of the mountain peaks. The traditional Menton Lemon Festival, where you can admire impressive constructions built of citruses, takes place every year.
