Tokyo is the capital of Japan located on Honshu island in the Pacific Ocean. It is an important center of industry, commerce and business. Being the economic and financial center of Japan the city has clusters of modern skyscrapers, among which as many as 125 buildings exceed 150 meters. Most of these skyscrapers are located in the city center, the administrative districts of Minato, Shibuya and Shinjuku, usually close to major transport hubs and stations. The 248-meter Tokyo Midtown building – the highest skyscraper in Tokyo – is particularly noteworthy.
