Karlskrona is a Swedish city located on thirty-three islands in the Baltic Sea. Its name literally means "Karl’s Crown" and refers to King Charles XI of Sweden. There are museums dedicated to the history of the Swedish navy and the entire region of Blekinge, historic buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries and the famous Glassiären ice cream shop. Karlskrona can be reached by ferry from Gdynia in Poland and it takes a day to explore the city, for these reasons it is a popular destination for trips.
