Baños de Agua Santa is a town located in the Ecuadorian Andes, at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by forests and mountains. There is an active volcano Tungurahua situated nearby. The town is famous for its Basilica of the Virgin of the Holy Water and a complex of thermal pools. Tourists visiting the area can admire magnificent waterfalls and do various sports such as mountain climbing, canoeing or cycling. Chewy candies produced from sugar cane are a popular local product.
