Jihlava is a Czech city located on the river of the same name in the south of the country. The creation of the settlement in this place was strongly associated with the deposits of silver ore. Among the most important and most photographed monuments of Jihlava there is the Gate of Holy Mother belonging to the remains of the medieval fortifications of the city. Over the years, the structure has been repeatedly rebuilt and constitutes an interesting mix of architectural styles. The gate is equipped with a decorative clock and is crowned with an impressive attic. Currently, it serves as a lookout tower. Tourists may get there walking along a charming street.
