The Vintgar Gorge is located in the Triglav National Park – the only national park in Slovenia. The river Radovna flows at the bottom of the gorge and its steep limestone walls are covered with lush vegetation. Showcase 1,600-meter gorge is the unique wooden walkways, consisting of wooden bridges with handrails and decks suspended just above the water. This breathtaking walkway is visited every day by hundreds of tourists admiring swift streams, foaming rapids and unusual rock formations. From the wooden walkway tourists can also admire the 13-meter Šum Falls.
