The Castle of Saint George is one of the landmarks of Alfama, the historical district of Lisbon. The medieval complex of defensive walls located on the hill, together with a small archaeological museum are visited by tourists, mainly due to beautiful views stretching around the majestic hill. From the ruins of the 12th-century fortress built by the Moors, you can admire, among other things, the historic district of Graça, where the Igreja da Graça church is located, the adjacent monastery and the Cerca da Graça park that was open for public use in 2015.
