Feldkirch is a town in Austria, located near the Swiss border, at the foot of the Austrian Alps. The town is the seat of many state and regional institutions. Feldkirch is a great tourist attraction of that region of Austria for two reasons: geographic location (closeness of the Alps) and plenty of historic monuments. The most important monuments of the town are: defensive walls with many towers, the castle with a moat, town gates, St. Nicolas' church, Annunciation of Mary the Virgin church, St. John the Baptist Orthodox church, Dominican Order monastery and numerous villas.
