Castle Inveraray located in western Scotland is the residence of Clan Campbell chiefs. The edifice was erected in 18th century near the old fortress. When the castle was being built the village of Inveraray was demolished and its inhabitants were moved to a different place, which was also named Inveraray. Today - after a few rebuildings - the castle is eclectic (it bears the features of Baroque, Neo-Gothic and Palladian styles). Part of the building, more precisely the ground floor and a few residential chambers is currently made accessible for tourists. The Inveraray Castle is one of the main tourist attractions of Scotland.
