Old bridge, built over a stream near the English village of Ambleside, is one of the best preserved old, heavy bridges used for transporting goods on horses. The stone bridge consists of two pillars and one arch. Bridges of this kind were often built on trading routes, important for the country’s economy (one of such routes leads through Ambleside). Today the bridge in Ambleside is a tourist attraction.
