Guanajuato is the city in central Mexico, the capital of the Guanajuato state, locaded on the area of the Mesa Central (at the height of over 2000 m). The city is a tourist attraction mostly for its location in the high mountains. The architecture of the residential and utilitarian buildings relates to the Spanish style. The biggest attraction of the city is the Mummies’ Museum. Guanajuato was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List in 1998.
