European peacock, more commonly known as the Peacock butterfly, is one of the most common butterflies in Europe and Asia. It owes its name to beautiful coloring – probably everyone has seen multicolored spots on the wings of these insects. Butterflies are attracted by colorful flowers – they sit on them and collect pollen, which is later transported at large distances. It is not by accident that a butterfly that is seen in the picture has sat on a bright-yellow flower.
