The Lofoten Archipelago is located in the Norwegian Sea. The islands belonging to the archipelago have a mountainous terrain relief and highly developed coastline. The residents of the Lofoten make their living mostly from breeding animals and fishing, however, for the last several dozen of years they have also been making profits from tourism. The Norwegian islands are mostly visited by people who enjoy spending their time in the bosom of nature, who appreciate peace and quite as well as the intimate atmosphere of fishing villages and closeness of unspoilt seaside nature. Majestic steel-grey rocks are covered with lush greenness of plants, which are interspersed with the redness of traditional wooden fishing houses built on poles.
