Many of them have been known in the natural medicine for a long time. Many plants contain substances that have antipyretic and antiphlogistic qualities and are still used to cure colds (e.g. lime trees, garlic or basil). Such species as mint, oregano or cumin are used in treating of various stomach problems. Pepper (black) and red pepper improve blood circulation, whereas sage and parsley have antiseptic qualities and improve digestion.
