Frederiksø is a Danish island that belongs to the Ertholmene archipelago, located a dozen kilometers north-east of Bornholm. Visitors to the island may have the impression that the time has stopped. Frederiksø and the island of Christiansø are connected with a bridge and they function as a nature reserve. The houses here are particularly protected, so the appearance of island's buildings has not changed much since the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries – even television antennas are hidden so as not to spoil the roofs. The most distinctive building on Frederiksø is Lille Tårn, a tower built in 1685, which houses a museum.
