A small Italian village of Verrand is located in the beautiful region of the Aosta Valley in northern Italy. It is surrounded by the highest peaks of the Alps and is a perfect place to relax after mountain tours or skiing. Verrand owes its unique atmosphere to charming architecture – cottages built of stone stand along the narrow cobbled streets. The local restaurants offer regional specialties, different from what we usually associate with the Italian cuisine. Dishes of cabbage and red meat are among the specialities, however, visitors may also eat here delicious rye bread and cheeses made in the region. It is interesting that regional wine is produced in the highest vineyard in Europe.
