The tradition that associates rabbits or hares with Easter is several centuries old. These mammals are considered as symbols of fertility and new life that is born at the beginning of spring. For these reasons this small rodent has gradually become a companion of a basket full of Easter eggs, which symbolize life and vitality as well.
